We are excited to announce two major upcoming events celebrating Native Tejano Heritage! Noted Texas historian and President/Founder of TexasTejano.com and Chairman of Polly Texas Pioneer Association, Mr. Rudi R. Rodriguez, will be giving a historical presentation on October 19th in Junction, Texas, and Polly Texas Pioneer Assosiaction will be hosting an Open House for Polly’s SchoolHouse on November 2nd in Bandera, Texas.
Presentation Topic: Tejanos in The Texas Revolution 1835-1836
In this presentation, Mr. Rodriguez will provide a detailed historical narrative of the Native Tejanos leading up to key events such as “The Battle of the Alamo,” “Washington on the Brazos,” and other critical battles. The presentation will highlight the pivotal role Tejanos played in the Texas Revolution, their acts of heroism during the battles, and the powerful stories of the Tejanas and their children who survived these events.
The presentation also includes an inspiring story behind TexasTejano.com, an organization Mr. Rodriguez founded in 2002 to highlight and celebrate the significant contributions of Native Tejanos to the development of Texas.
