The Board of Directors

Welcome to Polly Texas Pioneer Association, where we are dedicated to preserving the rich heritage of Bandera, Texas. Our mission is to celebrate and protect the history and culture of the Texas Hill Country.

Our board of directors is made up of descendants of J.P. Polly Rodriguez, and community leaders.= who want to help champion and preserver Tejano Hill Country heritage.

Our History

The Polly Texas Pioneer Association had its start as a group of family members who knew about their ancestor, José Policarpio "Polly" Rodriguez. They understood the importance of his legacy and worked to maintain Polly's Chapel and to honor the legacy of Polly.

Our Mission

Polly Texas Pioneer Association is dedicated to preserving Texas Hill Country heritage and legacy. We are a non-profit 501.c.3 organization created in 2003 dedicated to acquiring, restoring, preserving, maintaining and operating historic properties in and near the original pioneer settlement of Polly, Texas in Bandera County, Texas. Also, providing on-site and outreach educational programs about the early pioneers and settlers in this area of the State of Texas.
